Didn’t a dude named Nikola Tesla developed a free energy machine at one time?

You can follow links in these pages to see the actual models built from patents aquired in the 1950′s.
You could build one too.

Yes, solar powered energy is free with no cost.
It depends on people’s generosity. Solar Energy, Hydro-electric Energy and Tidal energy are great sources. Some people start a business dealing with this matter. It’s their decision.
Tesla was rumored to have developed something, but we never found anything. Even if it was a really good energy source, it wouldn’t be free.
You would still have to pay the person who developed it. Let’s say he doesn’t mind. Then, you would have to pay for the materials to construct it. You would have to pay for the workers to maintain it because I doubt any machine would just last forever. You would also have to pay for the distribution of the electricity, such as the power lines and the maintenance of those lines.
The government would tax it, and so on. If we could find a really nice energy source, we could lower the costs, but I don’t think it would ever be free.
If it’s not costing money, it might cost labor or some other form of payment.
