Bureaucrats have their claws in the energy industry, costs will NEVER come down.
There is enough oil and natural gas readily available for several generations. It could be dirt cheap but there’s too much envy for the handful of CEO’s who bring it to us.

Well of course, but Tesla sadly tends to be swept under the rug. Despite inventing AC power, Fluorescent and Compact fluorescent, Robotics, Radio, X-rays, and the tesla coil along with several other things.

Impossible. Proto and Bilbo tried to market Tesla’s idea, but ran afoul of some patents, both were sued into oblivion.
If you can figure out how to make the technology work, you’ll make millions. Go for it. I think you are referring to his wireless transmission of energy. It still took energy to generate it. There’s no such thing as a free lunch.
